Hello, My Name is Ethan.

A Passion for Programming

I am an asipring front-end developer, a recent Dev Bootcamp graduate, rhapsodic team leader, and passionate programmer. I am an energetic, innovative self-starter with an insatiable desire to learn new technologies and explore the inner workings of both server and client side code bases. I have a strong interest in UX and I am focusing on continuing to build a solid foundation in javascript, learning Sass, writing semantic, accessible HTML, learning to automate tasks, and to digest APIs. I am currently seeking new opportunities that challenge me daily and serve to foster my love for bringing meaningful applications to life.

A Passion for Life

I am a sponge for experience. I consider myself a "jack of all trades", seizing opportunity as it is revealed and getting my hands dirty in as many different situations as possible. I love to stretch myself and am constantly pushing my own boundaries; successes and failures alike, I seek to grow. When my hands aren't mashing away on the keyboard I can be found: making hard cider, buried in a collection of short stories, with my face pleasantly stuffed with local seafood, exploring the outdoors, dancing under the electric glow of the city, petting any and all dogs in my path, trying new recipes, and nearly everything in between.

    The Great Adventure

After completing my degree program I donated all of my belongings and bought a one way ticket to San Francisco. I devoted my time to research in neuroscience at UCSF as a facility manager and spear-headed a project that investigated gene manipulation. A love for programming is born after an introduction to big data analysis with Python.
